Significant product investments increased revenues in this period compared to previous years. The profitability was also increased during the period, driven by topline growth, owned first-party IPs, and cost reduction and justification during the global pandemic.
I don’t personally consider this the best of omens.
Back when I first started getting into online games at age 16 I played those hourly rate games on AOL before realizing that they had their own standalone service called gamestorm. I played games on it for about a year before EA bought them out and shut them down sometime later.
