Yes, those are APC. I like the MPI counter-rotating pairs even better. They're nice and rigid but light and cheap. I also sometimes use the RC Timer carbon props. The carbon props are expensive, fragile and you have to turn controller gains down. They copter will be really crisp using them though since they're so stiff. One thing I learned is to never use cheapo (hobbyking) props on a multicopter. They don't fly well.

This model has NTM 28-36 750KV motors and I run it on 4S Lipos.

It's using the RC Timer version of APM 2.5.2 for control. I have a quad with the 3D Robotics version and decided to try the RC Timer copy. It turns out they're Identical.

It's really awesome to be able to program full auto missions etc.

I'm going to install minimOSD and a 5.8GHz video TX for FPV in the next couple of days. I already had that stuff.

Here's a video I shot with my Quad (non FPV): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAVpSwvtaow

Yes, that's my yard. The girl jumped out of her car and it rolled down the hill. It was very lucky more damage wasn't done. Given how crappy her insurance company is (Mercury) it would have been a nightmare if it went into the pool. She just had a few scrapes from jumping out. The car was totaled though.

The home drones are becoming big business, the market for radio controlled helis and planes are drying up for these

I also have a big flying wing with full FPV gear. If you haven't seen it, this video is an edit of a flight I did with it which covered about 30 miles of distance around where I live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LesHzQmt9c0

I can fly for about 45 minutes with the batteries I use, but since it's so hilly around here to the North, South and West and there's an airport about 8 miles East, I never really go more than about 7 miles out in any direction.

I use Dragonlink for the RC control link on that one and have a 1.2GHz video link with an EagleTree antenna tracking system so I could actually fly about 30+ miles out if I had line of sight. We're in an area with a fair amount of air traffic so I try to keep my altitude above the ground low.

This one uses EagleTree stuff for the OSD, flight stabilizer and autopilot but if I were building it over, I'd use the APM 2.5 with Arduplane since it's a lot cheaper and even more powerful.

I don't understand to much about all this, but that video is freakin awesome!!! Flying that around has to be a lot of fun. Do you build everything on your own?

What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?

Both force and object have its origins from the same source.
Everything from the source into the universe is in constant motion, from the seen to the unseen.

An unstoppable force has no walls, no limits to restrain it, and is completely free to make anything happen.

Then the immovable object is a lie to uncover, to discover the truth..THERE IS NO SPOON ;)

Pretty much. I usually get a kit for either the frame of a multicopter of the airframe of a plane, order all of the components separately and assemble it all.

The on-board video stuff is still in its infancy and you end up doing a fair amount of soldering or cable making to hook everything up.

That video was funny, I mean not the accident or the damage, but the fact that it happened, and out comes the copter, film, youtube rofl.

What is it with ZZ Top Lately and crazy stuff? Duck Dynasty! lol

omg if my hubby had something that could fly over the road like that he would torment me to no end. When I got my first power car keys he messed with me for five minutes popping my trunk over and over until I figured out it was him.

That's also scary too. I recall as a kid one nice hill at the local park where people would take their old model airplanes out to fly, so we would put our kites away to give them the air. You go all over with those things! I would be scared to lose my new toys!
