Council of the.. dead!

It was a cold, dark, rainy night outside the chambers of the Council of the Nine. The Councilors huddled close to their small gas fireplace, clasping their mugs of mulled wine and talking of impressionist painters as they tried to ease the chill from their bones before beginning their meeting. A moaning sound whistled through the corridors. They shrugged it off, surely it was the wind.

But it wasn't the wind.. it was a group of upstart rebels come to destroy them, aiming to quash the flow of their sage advice to the Emporer. Because nobody crosses Eternal Sovereign and lives to enjoy it. Well maybe some people, but not these people, because they were squids.

And so, the invading army positioned itself in the adjoining room, and one by one lured the members of the Council in to their deaths. It was an epic struggle of tentacles and steel, and a few noble warriors were lost. But when the dust settled (they really should have hired a maid or something), only ES was left standing - feeling a little worse for wear as a new curse manifested itself within them.

The body of the Avatar bestowed upon us a lovely sounding Solidified Shadow Spine Magical Taint for Tinolyen, and a Bazu Stone for Eggborn (with which she will make a nice augment). And off we went into the night. Meanwhile...
