like i haven't had enough of these lately...
i got a new Maxtor 80gb hdd the other day and after formatting through windows i moved all my EQ stuff over to it. i was getting ready to log in to test it all out and EQ crashed on me(which we all know is not an uncommon occurance). so i wait a minute and i see down in the toolbar the plug & play window come up saying there's new hardware found and it gives the name of my new hdd. so i'm like, wtf...i go to my computer and the hdd is still there, i double click on it and it says, would you like to format...WTF?! NO!...i go into disk manager under computer managment and it tells me the hdd is unallocated...major WTF?!...so i'm wondering if there is any way that i can get the stuff back off it. i found a program called "Recover My Files" and it found everything, but when it goes to save it to my C drive it saves it as 0kb files...but in the program itself it says just how big the file is...
am i screwed or does someone know a cool way of getting this back?
thanks

I had a similar experience at work. I used a product called File Scavenger that was able to recover most of the stuff.

Downside is it cost $45, however in my case it was worth every penny to me and then some.
