The similar one I posted a link to earlier is an Intel cpu. They're not terrible, but do consume a lot of power and throw off a lot of heat compared to ryzen. I think you would be better served with this one: Check this out on @Newegg: Skytech Archangel - Ryzen 5 3600, GeForce GTX 1660, 500 GB SSD, ...

Re: new PC
I wouldn't pay $950 for a pc with a 1st gen ryzen. You will get a much better gaming experience from a 6-core 3rd gen than an 8-core 1st gen.Evilmonks wrote:what do you guys think of this? https://www.newegg.com/skytech-st-legac ... 6883289022

I found this one: https://www.newegg.com/abs-computer-technologies-ali416/p/N82E16883102994 From what I can tell, Pros: $50 less Comes with mouse and keyboard 600w 80+ Gold (vs 500w 80+) Cons: Intel CPU (similar performance, more power draw) RTX 2060 (vs 2060 Super) Unknown ram speed (although intel...

You have an 1151 (300) series motherboard, so you can only use intel CPUs that begin with an 8 or a 9. So the AMD 3900x would require a new motherboard (specifically an AM4 motherboard with a compatible chipset). I would hold off on upgrading to a new motherboard right now, for two reasons: 1) Intel...

I saw the ad for that, but apparently the company has serious issues filling orders/may be a scam.

For the ram you have picked out, I would spend $8 more and get some 3600mhz ram like these sticks . Even though the timing is a little looser, its the same response time since the ram speed is increased the same % as the timings. From what I can tell, Matisse cpus run best when the infinity fabric s...
